Men’s Lacrosse at Saint Joseph’s Game Moved to Friday Afternoon

PHILADELPHIA – With heavy rains and winds expected in the Mid-Atlantic Region on Saturday, the Towson University men's lacrosse game at Saint Joseph's University has been rescheduled.

The Tigers and Hawks will now clash Friday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. opening faceoff at Sweeney Field in Philadelphia. The game was originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday.

Admission to the now-Friday contest will be free of charge at Sweeney Field.

Saturday's weather includes precipitation amounts estimated to over half an inch of rain, ice and snow, paired with winds near 20 miles per hour and 36ºF temperatures in Greater Philadelphia.

Fans can expect clear skies and temperatures in the upper 50s on Friday afternoon in Philadelphia.

Spiro Morekas will have the call on the Towson Sports Network, with pregame beginning at 3:15 p.m., while Friday's game will be carried on NEC FrontRow.

Towson is 3-3 on the year and riding a two-game winning streak, topping both rv Loyola (11-8) and UMBC (11-10) last week on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively. The Hawks are 4-2 on the season, falling to Towson's CAA rival Drexel 18-17 on Tuesday.
