SEDONA, AZ. – With two holes remaining in the second round, the Towson women's golf team sit in 10
th place at The Red Rocks Invitational. The two-day event, hosted by Northern Arizona, is being played at Oakcreek Country Club.
Due to the frost delay Saturday morning, the afternoon round was not completed. Play will resume at 7:45 a.m. (PT) Sunday with the conclusion of the second round and heading straight into the third round.
The Tigers are 19-over par through 34 holes and are 10 shots clear of 11
th place Utah Valley. After Round 1, Towson was tied for 13
th but moved up, shooting even par as a team through the first 16 holes in Round 2.
Three golfers in the Top 25 of the individual standings.
Jordan Cornelius is tied for 19
th at 3-over par. The senior shot an opening round 74. She was 1-over in Round 2 and still has the 18
th and 1
st holes to navigate Sunday morning.
Faith McIlvain and
Odette Font Garcia are a shot back, at +4, tied for 22
nd place.
After shooting 76 in the morning session, McIlvain was even par in the afternoon. She made three pars and three birdies on the front nine and parred holes 10-16. She will play 17 and 18 Sunday morning to complete the round.
Font Garcia rebounded from an 80 in Round 1 and was 4-under in Round 2 with four birdies, including three straight, and 12 pars. Like Cornelius, the freshman will finish on 18 and 1.
Julia Calomiris is tied for 50
th (out of 104) golfers at 8-over par. The senior shot a 5-over 77 in Round 1 and is +3 in Round 2. She will play 17 and 18 Sunday morning to complete the round.
Freshman
Rayab Lee (+16) is the fifth golfer who qualified for the event.

- Towson shot 307 (+19) making eight birdies.
- Cornelius shot -2 on the back nine with birdies on 10, 16 and 18.
- Font Garcia and Lee made a pair of birdies.
How it Happened (Round 2):
- Font Garcia shot -3 on the front nine with birdies on 5, 6 and 7. She also birdied 14.
- McIlvain had made 16 straight pars.
- Cornelius has also been steady with 13 pars, one birdie in 16 holes.

Towson will play in three additional tournaments in March and April: Babs Steffens Invitational (March 27-28), Hoya Invitational (April 9-10) and the Colonial Athletic Association Championship (April 15-17).
