TOWSON, Md. – Blair Pearre earned Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week honors after leading the Towson University women's lacrosse team to its first win of the season over Saint Joseph's no Saturday night, 20-8. The conference made the announcement Monday afternoon.  

The award is her first of the season and the third of her career as she was named CAA Rookie of the Week three times over the 2020 and 2021 slates.  

Pearre scored a season best five goals on six shots against St. Joe's to record her third multi-goal outing of the season. The former Under Armour All-American now has 17 career hat tricks and has scored at least two goals in 23 of 27 games at the collegiate level. Her 82 career goals are fast approaching the Top 20 in school history. 

Pearre secured a career-high 13 draw controls against the Hawks was just one shy of the school and conference record set by Natalie Sulmonte against Georgetown in 2018. Her previous high of eight draw controls was set last season in the CAA Tournament against Elon (May 5).  

The Pikesville, Maryland product also added two ground balls and a caused turnover in the win. She now leads the Tigers in multiple categories including goals (10), points (11), free position goals (6), ground balls (6) and draw controls (15).  

The Black & Gold will be back in action on Wednesday, March 9 at UMBC for a 3 p.m. game.
