Two Divers Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

TOWSON, Md. – Two divers from the Towson University women's swimming and diving program earned academic recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches' Association of America (CSCAA). The CSCAA made its announcement in late June.

Sarah DiGaetano and Alyssa Largay both earned CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America Second Team honors per the CSCAA. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship.  Second-Team selections also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet. All criteria can be found on the CSCAA website.

DiGaetano, who graduated in May with a degree in biology, earned a spot at the NCAA Zone Diving meet. Competing on both the 1- and 3-meter boards this year, DiGaetano finished third or better in seven different meets. The Scottsville, New York native scored a 271.88  on the 1-meter board in a dual meet at Drexel, winning the event and scoring a Zone Qualifier.

Largay qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Meet on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. The CAA Women's Diver of the Week on Nov. 23, Largay reached the podium 12 times during her sophomore campaign. Hailing from Paradise Valley, Arizona, Largay collected a bronze medal at the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimming & Diving Championships on the 3-meter board, scoring a 275.60 thanks to a 62.0 in the final round.
