TOWSON, Md. – Continuing its excellence in the classroom, the Towson University gymnastics team had 15 student-athletes honored with Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America recognition, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
To qualify for WCGA Scholastic All-America, a student-athlete must a 3.5 overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) or a 3.5 grade point average for the 2021-22 season.
Lauren Bolen, Nikki Borkowski, Paige Casper, Sarah Girot, Clara Hong, Emerson Hurst, Jaz Kauffman, Lauren Keener, Steph Macasu, Amanda Pedicelli, Felicia Poblete, Amy Stewart, Cassidy Stuart, Grace Vaillancourt and
Jenna Weitz all earned 2021-22 WCGA Scholastic All-America honors.
In addition, three Tigers had a 4.0 GPA for the year: Bolen, Hong and Vaillancourt.
In addition, Towson was recognized as one of 53 gymnastics squads across the country with a 3.5 teams GPA or higher. The Tigers rank 26
th nationally among gymnastics teams with a 3.6358 team GPA.
Towson surpasses its mark of 13 WCGA Scholastic All-Americans from last season.
