STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – After finishing in fifth place at the William & Mary Fall Invitational earlier this week, the Towson University women's golf team is back on the road and headed to the second tournament of the season. The Tigers will be competing in the Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State on Sept. 17 and 18. This tournament will consist of three rounds and 54 holes with the first 36 holes being played on Saturday and the remaining 18 on Sunday.

THE FIELD
The Tigers will be up against Boston College, Bradley, Bucknell, Butler, Central Michigan, Columbia, Eastern Kentucky, High Point, Kennesaw State, Penn State, Richmond, Seton Hall, Toledo, Navy and Youngstown State.

WILLIAM & MARY RECAP
The Black & Gold (303 – 298 – 309) finished fifth at the invitational, shooting 46-over to earn them a final score of 910. They notched 30 birdies throughout the tournament and were ranked second out of the 10 competing teams for par 3s, averaging 3.05.
Odette Font Garcia was the top finisher for the Tigers. Font Garcia (71-73-74) finished tied for seventh with a score of two-over 218. This was a three stroke improvement from her performance at last year's tournament.
Isabella Portokalis (75-75-77) was next for the Tigers, finishing tied for 19
th after shooting 11-over 227.
