BOX SCORE Richmond, Va. – Senior forward
Gianna Antone scored a goal for the second straight game, but it was not enough as the Towson University field hockey team dropped a 6-1 decision to Richmond Sunday afternoon at Crenshaw Field.
Down 1-0, Antone pounced on a loose ball and scored her second goal of the weekend. She also found the back of the net in Friday's victory over Longwood.

Tessa Scheenstra faced 23 shots in the first three quarters and made a career-best eight saves. Backup
Piper Sullivan played the final quarter and stopped a pair of shots.

How it Happened:
- Richmond peppered Screenstra with 10 shots, including three on cage, before finally breaking the ice with its 11th shot 12:25 into the game.
- Sixty-one seconds later, Antone put the Tigers on the board. The game was tied after 15 minutes of play despite Richmond holding a 12-1 shot advantage.
- Richmond scored two goals in the second quarter for a 3-1 halftime lead. The Spiders outshot Towson 16-2 after 30 minutes of play. Scheenstra made five first half saves.
- Richmond tacked two more goals in the third quarter, including a penalty stroke with no time on the clock for a 5-1 lead.
- Head coach E.A. Jackson inserted Sullivan into the game to begin fourth quarter. The sophomore had the first two saves of her collegiate career before Richmond scored to make it 6-1.
Inside the Numbers:
- Richmond outshot the Tigers 29-6 and had 11 corners, compared to two for Towson.
