TOWSON, Md. – This week's Student-Athlete Spotlight features Towson University gymnast
Grace Vaillancourt.
A mainstay in the lineup in three events since her freshman season,
Grace Vaillancourt has been a reliable performer for head coach
Jay Ramirez as the Tigers have earned back-to-back NCAA regional appearances.
A two-time second team All- East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) performer on uneven bars, Vaillancourt got her the junior year off the right way, recording the fourth highest score in program history in the event – with a career-best 9.925 - in a quad meet victory at Rutgers.
Vaillancourt is even more impressive in the classroom, majoring in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics. In the fall, she was one of 32 student-athletes to earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
She and her teammates host West Virginia, West Chester and New Hampshire Friday night at SECU Arena. Check out her story by the Towson Sports Network.
