LEWISBURG, P.A. – The Towson University men's golf team dropped nine strokes from its round two performance to earn a final score of 877 at the Bucknell Invitational. The Tigers jumped three spots from yesterday to finish the tournament in 10
th place.
Colgate clinched the first-place spot after leading the field for three consecutive rounds. The Raiders completed the tournament with a final score of 839 and were the only team to finish under par. LIU's Lewis Wright was the individual champion after recording a 7-under par, 203. Wright shot under 70 for two of the three rounds.
Ariihau Faana shot 74 for his third round, adding two more birdies to his scorecard during the front nine. He was Towson's top finisher, finishing tied for 20
th.
Brad Riley parred eight of his front nine and birdied three holes during his back nine to offset two bogeys. The fifth year finished with and even par 70, shaving nine strokes off his first-round score. Riley moved up 17 spots to end the tournament tied for 36
th.
Michael Matheson and
Poon Nantsupawat shot a pair of 71s for their final rounds. Matheson concluded the tournament with five birdies throughout his final 18 holes, two of which were back-to-back. The freshman saw a four-stroke improvement from his second-round score. Nantsupawat parred 15 of the last 18 holes, notching a birdie during the front nine.
Sky Aung parred 10 consecutive holes before bogeying his 11
th hole of the day. Aung continued his final round with six more pars before scoring a 74 to conclude the tournament.

Towson wraps up the fall competition schedule next weekend with a trip back to Pennsylvania, attending the Lehigh University Invitational at the Saucon Valley Country Club on October 20 and 21.
