BETHLEHEM, P.a. – The Towson University men's golf team concluded the 2023 fall season with a bronze medal performance as the Tigers finished third at the Lehigh Invitational, ahead of two Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) teams Monmouth and Hofstra.
The Black & Gold had rounds of 299 and 301 to finish with a final score of 600 (+24), only four strokes behind the runner up team Siena College. Four Tigers completed the tournament ranked in the top-20 individually. Towson also led the field for number of pars earned throughout the 36-hole event, recording 107.
Lehigh University claimed the tournament title after remaining in first place for both rounds. The Mountain Hawks earned a final score of 587 (+11), and were the only team to shoot under par during the second day. The Hawks also had three athletes place in the top-10, including individual champion David Hurly who finished in first after rounds of 72 and 70. Hurly had a final score of 142 (-2).
Brad Riley wrapped up his final round of play after shooting 76 and notching one birdie during the back nine. The fifth year had the best par 4 average in the 78-player field, finishing with 3.90 (-2). Out of 20 par 4 holes Riley parred 16 and birdied three. The Maryland native concluded the tournament tied for 12
th.

th place was freshman
Sky Aung. Aung shot 75 for his final round after notching four birdies throughout the round.
Ariihau Faana and
Michael Matheson completed play tied for 20
th after both shooting 75s as well. Combined the two freshmen logged seven birdies.
Sophomores
Poon Nantsupawat and
Jai Sheth rounded out the squad. Nantsupawat had a strong front nine, sitting at even par after notching three birdies. He wrapped up play with a 75, shaving off eight strokes from his first-round performance. Sheth shot 80, earning one birdie during the back nine.
