LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Towson University men's golf team fell five spots to finish day two of the Bucknell Invitational in 13th place. The Black & Gold recorded a 295 for the second round, a one stroke improvement from yesterday's performance.
Colgate University remains atop the 19-team field as the only school with a score currently under par. The Raiders recorded a 277 for the second day, dropping five strokes from their score from the first round. LIU's Lewis Wright secured the top individual spot for the second consecutive day after shooting 70, closely followed by two Colgate players to round out the podium.
Ariihau Faana fell two spots to complete the second the day tied for fourth. Faana had a slow start, bogeying three holes to finish the first nine at 3-over. He finished the day strong, parring eight of the holes during the back nine to shoot 74.
Brad Riley had a strong second round, finishing with a score of 71. The fifth year had a pair of back-to-back birdies during the front nine, moving him to 1-under par for the first four holes. He birdied two more holes during the back nine, finishing the day at 1-over par.
Michael Matheson and
Sky Aung shot 5-over par, 75. Aung recorded two birdies and Matheson parred 13 holes.
Poon Nantsupawat carded a 79 to sit at 13-over through two days of play.
The third and final round of the tournament begins tomorrow morning.
