BOX SCORE WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Towson University women's lacrosse team went against Georgetown in the nation's capital. The Tigers (2-0) defeated the Hoyas 13-12 after scoring five goals in the fourth quarter.
Milana Zizakovic registered a career-high six points, having a career-best three assists and three goals.
Gabby Garrett tied a career-high in goals and points with three goals and four points.
Blair Pearre had a first-quarter hat trick, while
Lindsey Marshall and
Lindsay Clarke finished with two points each.
Georgetown's Erin Bakes finished with four goals while Emma Gebhardt and Kylie Hazen each had hat tricks.

- The Hoyas scored the game's first goal, but Milana Zizakovic and Blair Pearre responded with two goals in the next two possessions to give Towson a 2-1 edge.
- Georgetown regained the lead after scoring consecutive goals to have a 3-2 advantage.
- Pearre scored her second goal on a nice pass from Zizakovic to tie the score at three.
- Less than a minute later Pearre completed her hat trick after she sprinted past her defender and fired a shot past the keeper to give Towson a 4-3 edge.
- Gabby Garrett finished the first quarter with her second goal of the season to give the Tigers a 5-3 lead.
- The teams started the second quarter exchanging free position goals, but Georgetown tied the score at six after Erin Bakes scored on a free position shot.
- The team traded goals a minute apart to remain tied, but Halley Koras scored right before halftime after Zizakovic found Koras open in the middle, who converted the opportunity to give the Tigers an 8-7 lead.
- Kylie Hazen scored two goals in the third to give the Hoyas a 9-8 edge heading into the fourth quarter.
- Lindsey Marshall and Garrett opened the fourth quarter with two quick goals to regain the lead, but Georgetown equalized less than three minutes later.
- Towson took an 11-10 lead after Jo Torres made a one-on-one save which prompted a quick counterattack that left Garrett and Zizakovic in a 2-on-1 opportunity against the defense that Zizakovic scored on.
- Hazen completed her hat trick to tie the game, but Garret buried a free position attempt less than a minute later to give the lead right back to the Tigers.
- Mia Rehkemper scored her second goal of the year to give Towson a 13-11 advantage with 5:54 left.
- Georgetown scored with 32 seconds left, but Marshall won the ensuing draw control to ice the game for the Tigers.
