Track & Field Completes The Towson Invitational, Picking Up Three More Gold Medals

Towson, MD – The Towson University track and field team wrapped up it's annual Towson Invitational on Saturday afternoon, picking up three more gold medals.
 
Kira Parsons and Maya Tucker were the individual winners of the day in their respective events.

  • Fatimah Owens (45.85m) and Georgia Coleman (41.68m) placed second and fourth in the discus throw. 
  • Aliyah Anderson and Manie Mevo earned marks of 11.65m and 11.35m in the triple jump, respectively. 
  • Kira Parsons won the javelin throw with a toss of 37.75m, which is a PR for the junior.
  • Anderson placed second in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m, followed by a 1.60m from Emily Lunger.
 
Up Next
The Black & Gold head to Philadelphia next Friday for the Temple Invitational on April 7.
