TOWSON, Md. – Towson University third baseman
Bryce Frederick has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week following his heroics at the plate during the Tigers' two midweek victories.
Frederick batted .636 (7-for-11) with two doubles, three homers and nine RBI in Towson's victories over UMBC (15-13) and George Mason (10-8). The junior delivered ninth inning, walk-off homers in both wins to seal the wins. A three-run shot on Tuesday lifted Towson over UMBC followed by a grand slam on Wednesday as the Tigers topped Mason. He was 5-for-6 with four extra base hits vs. UMBC.
In addition to the conference award, Frederick was named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week following his strong performances at the plate.
It is Towson's first Player of the Week honor since
Elijah Dickerson won the award on April 25, 2022.

Towson will close its current seven-game homestand on Tuesday, April 11 with a matchup against George Washington at 3 p.m. at Schuerholz Park.
