ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson University cross country team will be continuing it's 2023 fall campaign in Maryland for the second consecutive meet, heading to Annapolis for the Navy Invitational.
The Tigers finished in sixth place at last year's meet, where recent graduate
Beighley Ayers set a Towson program record for the fastest 6k time recorded at the USNA Cross Country Course, running a 22:49.1.

The Field: The Tigers will compete against over 100 runners from Catholic University of America, Navy, Maryland, Loyola (MD), Lock Haven, St. Mary's (MD), Northern Virginia CC, UMBC, George Washington University, Marymount (VA), American University and McDaniel.

Last Meet Recap:
The Black & Gold began the season with a fourth-place finish at the Baltimore Metro meet hosted by Goucher University. The Tigers ran an average time of 20:45 for the 5k course, improving from last year's season opener average by 10 seconds.
Aubrey Schaffer was the top finisher for the Tigers, clocking a 19:06.69 to place 12
th overall.
Lexi Mogensen followed up with a 25
th place finish after running a lifetime PR of 20:07.37.
