NEW YORK – The Towson University track & field wrapped up a split Friday in New York with one new school record, six first place finishes and several new PRs.

How it Happened – Track
Freshman
Emma Vacca opened the meet for the Tigers by setting a new PR in the 5000m to place second. The freshman dropped almost two minutes from her previous time to cross the finish line in 19:04.47.
All three Tigers that ran the 60m dash posted new PRs as well as marks in Towson's top-10 all-time list. Syndey Tucker won the event with the fourth best time in program history of 7.58 followed by
Ty'Liyah Hannah in second place who ran a 7.62 which is the sixth fastest in school history.
Cristal Cuervo clocked a 7.69, the seventh fastest in program history, to place fourth.
Freshman
Morgan Lane and
Keerthana Sujesh posted prelim times of 9.32 and 9.38 in the 60m hurdles to qualify for finals. Lane went on to shave seven tenths of a second off of her time, running a 9.25 to place second overall in finals while Sujesh finished in fourth with a time of 9.46.
The Black & Gold dominated the 200m dash, with three Tigers placing in the top-10.
Maya Tucker won the event with a 24.92 followed by
Ty'Liyah Hannah who set a new PR of 24.98 to place second.
Sydney Tucker clocked a 25.81 for seventh place.
The 4x400 squad finished second with the second fastest time this season, 3:55.79.
How it Happened – Field
Manie Mevo claimed two victories in the long and triple jump. The sophomore first won the long jump with a mark of 5.56m, edging out the runner up by .02 meters. Mevo followed up with another gold medal performance in the triple jump, resetting her own school record established last month. The Maryland native jumped 12.50m to place first by over one meter. Mevo broke the Coastal Athetic Association (CAA) record by .08m, set by Jayda Hunter of UNCW last season.
Fatimah Owens took second in the shot put with a mark of 13.31m, the eighth best mark in school history. The senior concluded the meet with a first-place finish in the weight throw, tossing a season best mark of 17.66m which is good for eighth all-time in program history.

How it Happened – Track
Leeann Redlo posted a time of 9.09 in the 60m hurdles prelims to place fourth before placing fifth overall in finals with a 9.18.
Aubrey Schaffer placed third overall in the 5000m with a 18:38.68.
Satori Valentine and
Lexi Mogensen picked up a new PRs in their respective events. Valentine set a new record in the 400m dash, running a 59.19 to place eighth overall while Mogensen took seventh in the 1000m with a best time of 3:02.74
Princess Asante ran a 25.95 in the 200m dash to place tenth.
Dominique DeVaughn clocked a 26.54, nearly a tenth off of her collegiate career best.
How it Happened – Field
Leeann Redlo won the high jump with a mark of 1.70m.
Redlo placed third overall in the long jump with a new PR of 5.41m, which ranks 10
th in program history. Denee Hibbert jumped 5.36m on her sixth attempt, earning a new PR as well to place fifth.
Kiara Murray finished right behind her in sixth place with a mark of 5.31m.
