TOWSON, Md. – Towson University Head Baseball Coach
Matt Tyner has released the 2025 schedule, announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigers are slated to play 56 games, including 25 at their home field, John B. Schuerholz Park. Weekday home games are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. before Daylight Savings Time begins. Starting March 9, weekday home games will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday home games are slated for 1 p.m. starts unless otherwise noted. Road game times will be announced (TBA) as they become available. All home games are free for the public to attend.
Towson will open the 2025 campaign competing in the Swig & Swine College Classic from Feb. 14-16 in Charleston, S.C. The Black & Gold will face Ball State, UAB and UMass Lowell in one game each.
Towson returns to the Free State to face Maryland Eastern Shore in a three-game series at Meritus Park in Hagerstown. They'll play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 22. The first game is scheduled to start at noon with game two slated for 3:30 p.m. The Tigers and Hawks will play the final game of the series on Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.
To round out the month of February, Towson hosts UMBC in its home opener on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
That weekend, Holy Cross visits for Towson's first home series at Schuerholz Park. The Tigers and Crusaders will play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 1. The first pitch in game one is 11 a.m. Game two is slated for a 2:30 p.m. start. They'll conclude the series with one game on Sunday.
On Tuesday, March 4, the Tigers are in Richmond to face the Spiders. They'll return home to face the Crusaders again in a standalone game the following day.
From March 7-9, the Tigers play three games at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va. First, they'll face Longwood on Friday at 4 p.m. Towson will play Georgetown on Saturday at 1 p.m. In the final game on Sunday, the Black & Gold matchup with George Mason at 4 p.m. in the first of three games against the Patriots on the 2025 schedule.
The Black & Gold will face West Virginia on Tuesday, March 11, in Morgantown. The following day, the Tigers host George Washington at Schuerholz Park.
In the final non-conference series of the season, the Cornell Big Red visit to play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15. Game one is scheduled for 11 a.m. with the second game slated for 2:30 p.m. The series finale will be played on Sunday.
The second of three games against George Mason on the schedule is slated for Tuesday, March 18, in Fairfax, Va. The Tigers host Massachusetts at their home field the following day.
In the first Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) series of the season, Towson treks to Brookline, Mass. to face Northeastern in a three-game series from March 21-23.
The Monmouth Hawks visit Schuerholz Park for the first conference home series of the year from March 28-30.
The Tigers face Coppin State on Tuesday, April 1. That Friday, Towson begins a three-game weekend series at Delaware. Games two and three will be played on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Towson will host George Mason in the final game of the season against the Patriots on Tuesday, April 8.
That weekend, the Elon Phoenix comes to Towson to face the Tigers in a three-game series from April 11-13.
The Black & Gold follow that with a visit to Catonsville to face local foe, UMBC, on Tuesday, April 15.
The next CAA series brings UNCW to Towson from April 17-19. That series will be played Thursday through Saturday with the first two games starting at 3 p.m. and the series finale scheduled for 1 p.m.
On Tuesday, April 22, the Tigers visit College Park to face the Maryland Terrapins.
That weekend, the Tigers face Campbell in their first CAA series against the Camels in Buies Creek, N.C. The series runs from Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27.
To close out April, Towson will face George Washington on Tuesday, April 29.
The Tigers open the month of May with a visit from Stony Brook to face the Seawolves from May 2-4.
Towson plays its final two midweek games following that series. First, the Tigers host Richmond on Tuesday, May 6. The following day, they'll face Virginia in Charlottesville.
The Black & Gold visit Long Island that weekend to face Hofstra in a three-game set from May 9-11.
The final series of the regular season invites William & Mary to town to square off with the Tigers in three games from May 15-17 at Schuerholz Park.
The CAA Championship takes place from May 21-24 at the Ballpark at Patriots Point, the home of the College of Charleston Cougars.
