TOWSON, Md. – Fourteen members of the Towson University field hockey program were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2023 National Academic Squad, announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday.
The 14 Tigers include:
Samantha Aljets,
Morgan Bomberger,
Lexi Bove,
Gabby Bruce,
Riley Cushman,
Ella Kaufman,
Annie Keele,
Hannah McKeon,
Lydia Miller,
Paige Miller,
Ava Mowrey,
Megan Popp,
Tessa Scheenstra and
Gianna Tripodi.
Bomberger, Keele, McKeon and
Lydia Miller were four of 181 student-athletes to earn the distinction for the fourth straight year.
The National Academic Squad honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year. Towson's 14 members were among a group of 976 student-athletes from 79 Division I institutions.
