TOWSON, Md. – Towson University Field Hockey head coach
Katie Gerzabek Salem has announced the signing of Delfina Larrippa on Wednesday. Larrippa becomes the tenth player overall and fourth transfer of the 2026 signing class.
"Delfi brings valuable collegiate playing experience from Kent State and her competitive mindset and understanding of the game will be a great addition to the group." Coach Gerzabek Salem announced, "Hailing from Argentina, the sport of hockey is in her blood, and we are excited to add her passion for the game and love for Towson to the program."
Delfina Larrippa is a forward and midfielder hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Larrippa played for Club San Fernando in Argentina, where she helped the club win 2019 and 2021 Metropolitan Tournament Championships, before spending the past two seasons at Kent State University. In her first season in Ohio, Larrippa played in 19 games and started 18 scoring two goals and was named to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Freshman Team. In 2025 Larrippa made eleven starts in 15 appearances and tallied a goal and two assists. She was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad in 2024 and the All-MAC Academic team in 2025.
"I chose Towson to continue my athletic and academic career because of the strong master's program they offer. I really liked the campus, the facilities, and all the resources available to help athletes perform at their best." Larrippa said, "I was also looking for a place with better weather and a city environment that still feels close to campus, and Towson had that. I also connected with the culture of the Field Hockey program and the coaching staff. It felt like a team and environment where I could grow both as a player and as a person."
