Gerzabek Salem Announces the Signing of Skylar Santucci

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University Field Hockey head coach Katie Gerzabek Salem has announced the signing of Skylar Santucci on Wednesday. Goodman becomes the tenth player overall and sixth rookie of the 2026 signing class.

"We are thrilled to welcome Skylar to our field hockey family. Having competed in the Big Ten Conference, she brings valuable high-level experience that will help to continue to enhance our program. Skylar's speed and tenacity on the field will help elevate our attack and create dynamic opportunities in the circle." Coach Gerzabek Salem stated, "What excites me most is her genuine love for the game — she plays with passion, energy, and a competitive spirit that embodies our cultural spirit here at TU. We can't wait to have her join our squad this Fall!"

Skylar Santucci is a forward from Medford, New Jersey who joins Towson as a graduate transfer after spending her undergraduate career with Michigan State. Santucci made 35 appearances in her time with the Spartans scoring her first career goal on September 6, 2024. She also was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten Selection and a three-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad. Before college, Santucci was a First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State forward for Shawnee High School. She also won the Nexus Championships and was selected to play in the USA Field Hockey Junior National Championship.

"I love Katie and Noelle as coaches and I love the campus! I'm super excited to play with all the girls and have a great year." Santucci said, "The program is going to be great, and I love the environment and what the team plays for!"
