Lynea Gregory Joins Towson Field Hockey as Assistant Coach

TOWSON, Md. – Lynea Gregory has joined the Towson University field hockey coaching staff, Head Coach Katie Gerzabek Salem announced on Wednesday. Gregory will serve as an assistant coach.
 
"We are so excited to have Lynea join our coaching staff and our Tiger Field Hockey family!" Coach Gerzabek Salem announced, "Lynea embodies everything we value in our program—competitive spirit, authenticity, and a passion for growth. She has a natural ability to connect with student-athletes while pushing them to reach their highest level. Her energy and commitment to excellence align perfectly with the standards of our program, and I am confident she will make an immediate impact on and off the field."
 
 
Lynea Gregory joins Towson after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Misericordia where she played a role in coaching and recruiting. In her time with the Cougars the team improved from 6-12 overall with a 2-5 MAC Freedom Conference record in 2024to a 16-4 overall record and 6-1 in conference in 2025 where Misericordia made it as far as the MAC Freedom conference championship game. Three Cougars were 2025 MAC Freedom First Team All-Conference honorees and two were named NFHCA D-III All-Region.
 
 
Gregory has also been a head coach at the club level out of Pennsylvania since 2023. She helmed NEPA Force Field Hockey Club as head coach and director from November of 2023 until June of 2025 and was the head coach of Brave Field Hockey Club from November of 2023 through March of 2026.
 
 
Gregory's playing career saw her spend four years in a starting role VCU where she won a 2021 Atlantic 10 Championship and played in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. As a midfielder Gregory tallied eight points as a senior and was on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll every year from 2019-2022.
 
 
She graduated from VCU in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in health sciences and will earn her master's in business administration with a specialization in sports management from Misericordia in May of 2026.
