DENVER, Colo. – The Towson University gymnastics team faced the nationally ranked #10 University of Denver in a dual meet on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Pioneers 198.000-195.600. The Tigers trailed Denver by less than 2 points throughout all four rotations, with their strongest event being floor where they scored a 49.200.
Towson scored its second highest score this season on bars and floor, breaking 49 on both events.
195.600 marks the highest team score for the Tigers this season.
By Rotation
Rotation One – Bars – 49.100
- Isabella Minervini posted Towson's highest score on the event, logging a 9.900 for fifth place after a near seamless routine. This marks her fourth consecutive 9.9 or better on the event of the season.
- Sarah Girot picked up a new career high of 9.875 for her first bars performance of the season.
- Grace Vaillancourt put up a 9.825 after a solid routine, hitting both her handstands.
- Camille Vitoff and Lauren Greene logged 9.775 and 9.725, respectively.
Rotation Two – Vault – 48.975
- Retoshia Hasell matched her season high of 9.850 for her Yurchenko full while Elise Tiser posted a 9.850 as well for her Yurchenko 1.5. Both Tigers tied for fourth with two Denver gymnasts.
- Camille Vitoff received a 9.800, her third highest score of the season.
- Jenna Weitz and Adriana Hoffman posted 9.750 and 9.725, respectively.
Rotation Three – Floor – 49.200
- Grace Vaillancourt led off the rotation for the Tigers with a 9.875, her second highest score so far this season. The senior tied for third, which was the highest individual finish on the team.
- Carmella Calafati and Elise Tiser logged a pair of 9.850s.
- Jenna Weitz received a 9.800 while Isabella Minervini anchored with a 9.825.
Rotation Four – Beam – 48.325
