TOWSON, Md. – Senior Grace Vaillancourt has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.

Vaillancourt is the second Towson gymnast this season to earn an EAGL Specialist of the Week award, following junior Elise Tisler on January 17.

After a double meet weekend Grace posted scores of 9.8 or higher on all four events she competed in. On February 2 during a quad meet with George Washington, University of Pennsylvania and William & Mary Vaillancourt logged 9.850 on bars and floor.

At a dual meet with #10 Denver, the senior led the floor lineup with Towson's highest score of 9.875. She posted the highest individual finish of the whole meet for the Tigers, tying for third overall on the event. The New Hampshire native also logged a 9.825 on bars.

After the dual meet with the Pioneers, Vaillancourt surpassed scoring 1000 points throughout her collegiate career with Towson.  

The Tigers continue their season this Sunday, attending a tri meet hosted by University of New Hampshire with Brown on February 11 at 1 p.m.
