TOWSON, Md. – Towson University gymnast
Elise Tisler received her third East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Weekly award of the season, announced by the league on Wednesday.
Tisler was named EAGL Specialist of the Week on March 6. She picked up the same award on January 16 and February 14.
At the Penn State quad meet on March 1, Tisler set a new career high on vault of 9.975 to place first overall, marking her fourth victory on the event of the season. The Virginia native has made her way on to the Towson record book for the second time this season as she now ranks second in program history with a 9.975 on the event. She has set career highs on vault three times this season and has scored 9.850 or better seven times.
The junior also contributed to Towson logging a season high 49.325 on vault at the Penn State quad, which is also the best away score recorded in program history on the event. She has led the Tigers to a top-20 national ranking on vault as the team ranks 15
th in the NCAA. Individually, Tisler ranks first in EAGL on vault with a 9.895 NQS and 21
st in the NCAA.
Tisler thrives on floor as well, ranking in the top-5 in EAGL with a 9.870. She recorded a career high 9.975 at Towson's last home meet on February 23, which ranks second in program history. She has posted seven scores of 9.850 or better so far this season.
The Tigers continue the 2024 campaign on Sunday, March 10 at home against Maryland.
