TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's basketball has announced that Ndeye Khady Leye, Masyn Marchbanks and Deja Bristol will join Coach
Laura Harper's squad for the 2024-25 season. These are the first three signings for the Tigers in the 2024 class.
The Tigers are coming off their third straight 20-win season. Towson went 11-7 CAA and advanced to the CAA semifinals, before falling to Drexel.
Patricia Anumgba led the Tigers with a career-high 14.4 points per game, which earned her Second Team All-CAA honors.
Ndeye Khady Leye averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds per game in her senior season at the SPIRE Institute, where she was named to Nike Tournament of Champions All-Tournament Team. She helped SPIRE Institute win a trophy at The Mecca averaging 27 points and 14 rebounds.
Masyn Marchbanks comes to Towson after playing two seasons at Samford. The guard has played 50 games and started in 25, averaging 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. The Hartselle, Alabama native earned
SoCon All-Freshman Team in 2022-23, averaging the third-most points (9.8) on the team and finishing second on the Bulldogs in steals with 33. Last season she averaged 8.4 points, dropping a career-high 24 points against Central Arkansas. Marchbanks finished second on the team in steals with 27.
Deja Bristol joins Towson after playing two seasons at Northeastern. In her first season at Northeastern, she was the first Husky to earn CAA Sixth Player of the Year after averaging the second-most points on the team at 8.4 and the third most rebounds at 5.0 per game. In her second season, the Upper Marlboro, Maryland native averaged the second most points on the team at 10.4, including a season-high 18 points against the College of Charleston. The forward led Northeastern in rebounding, averaging 5.8 boards per game. She shot a career-best 52.6% from the floor while adding 24 steals.
