LEXINGTON, KY – Fatimah Owens and
Manie Mevo capped off the 2024 outdoor track & field season for the Tigers on Saturday evening at the NCAA East Preliminaries.
Fatimah Owens kicked things off for the Black & Gold, tossing 44.02m in the discus which is the eighth best mark in program history. Owens officially concluded her collegiate career with this performance, leaving Towson as the school record holder in the event.
Manie Mevo finished her sophomore season with a leap of 12.66m in the triple jump, her second best mark this season and second highest in program history. She placed 23
rd overall, 14 spots better than her seeded placement.
