TOWSON, Md. — The Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) concluded Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) achieving a record 2,302 donors and raising over $1.1 million to support Towson University's 19 sports programs. This record-breaking year underscores the unwavering support from the Towson community and highlights the continued commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience.
Throughout the fiscal year, TAF donors demonstrated their dedication by contributing in record numbers. Notably, 1,944 individuals made restricted gifts, directing funds specifically to their favored programs accounting for $713,000 of the total amount raised. Additionally, Towson University alumni-athletes, known as T-Club members, made a significant impact, with 572 former athletes contributing to the Fund—a new high for this group.
"Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we've been able to offset operational costs, provide vital resources, and enhance the opportunities available to our student-athletes," said Meredith Crawford, Sr. Associate AD, Athletics Development. "Each gift, regardless of size, plays a crucial role in supporting our department's mission."
