LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Towson University women's golf team saw improvement on the second day of the Bucknell Invitational, passing Bucknell to take the second-place spot on the team leaderboard. Three Tigers shot lower scores for their second rounds, backing Towson's success on Saturday afternoon.
The University of Pennsylvania remains in the lead after shaving 10 strokes off of its score from yesterday's round. Towson claimed the runner-up spot after carding a 22-over, 302 for round two. The Tigers out shot host team Bucknell by one stroke.
Rayab Lee remains the Tigers' top performer at this tournament, finishing the day in 10
th place after shooting 77. She earned one birdie during the front nine.
Peyton Costabile jumped 15 sports to wrap up her second day efforts in 17
th place. She shaved off three spots, recording a 74.
Kanchana Kanchanphiboon moved up 15 spots, currently sitting tied for 18
th. The junior shaved two spots off of her score from yesterday, carding a 75.
Grace Oristian moved up eight spots after dropping one stroke from her first-round efforts. The sophomore wrapped up play after recording a 76.
Luciana Calbimonte finished in 27
th after shooting an 80.
Kyndall Campbell, competing as an individual, rounded out the squad in 58
th after a score of 88.
The Tigers tee off for the third and final round of the tournament tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
