Towson’s Men’s Golf Opens Spring Campaign on March 10

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's golf team will be playing five tournaments during the 2025 spring season.

Mike Larkin's squad will open the season with the Ross Collegiate Classic, hosted by George Mason, at the Mid Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina from March 10-11. This will be the fourth consecutive year that Towson is beginning the spring season with this tournament.

On March 24-25 the team will travel to Virginia for William & Mary's Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on the Golden Horseshoe Gold Course.

Towson welcomes April with a trip to Frederick County to play in the University of Maryland's Testudo Cup at P.B. Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville on April 5-6.

For the third straight season, the Tigers will play in the Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State on April 12-13 in State College, Pennsylvania.

The season wraps up with the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship at the Union National Golf Club in Cape May, New Jersey from April 20 through 22.

Towson played four events during the fall 2024 campaign with sophomores Ariihau FaanaMichael Matheson and Sky Aung all averaging under 75 per round.

Faana led the way with a 74.08 scoring average, which included a season-low 68 during the opening round of the Georgetown Intercollegiate. Matheson was one stroke behind Faana – finishing with a 74.17 scoring average. He shot a career-best 66 during the second round of the Howard/USF Intercollegiate. Aung finished the fall with a 74.67 scoring average, highlighted by matching his career-low with a 68 during the first round of the Doc Gimmler at Bethpage.
