Hong, Minervini Selected as Individual Competitors for 2025 NCAA Tournament

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University gymnasts Clara Hong and Isabella Minervini will be continuing the season as individual competitors in the upcoming 2025 NCAA Tournament, announced on Monday.

Hong will compete on the balance beam while Minervini will be in the all-around competition.  Each will compete in the Pennsylvania regional on the campus on Penn State University.  The regional will be from April 2-5; exact times of competition will be announced later.

Individual competitors are taken from teams who did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament each on their National Qualifying Score (NQS) in the event.

Minervini earned a 39.280 NQS in the all-around, highlighted by her 39.425 score in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championship this past Saturday, tying for fourth all-time in Towson history.  Competing in all-around nine times this year, the EAGL all-around champion has earned six first-place finishes.

Hong notched a 9.875 NQS on the beam, including a high of 9.900 at home on March 4 and March 22 to be the EAGL champion in that event.  The EAGL Scholar-Athlete of the Year was a six-time winner of the balance beam.

This will be the fourth NCAA Tournament for Hong and third for Minervini, each matching their years of collegiate competition.
