Pawleys Island, S.C. - The Towson University women's golf team completed its first day of the Golfweek Spring Invite in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The Tigers currently sit in ninth place after posting a score of 303 (+19) in the first round.
Coastal Carolina leads on the field with 286 (+2), followed by Morehead State at 288 (+4). Akron sits in third with a score of 291 (+7).
Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon led the Tiger's efforts on day one, currently tied for 11th place out of 88 players. Kanchanaphiboon carded a 72 (+1), marking her second-lowest collegiate round. She parred 15 out of 18 holes and tallied one birdie.
Peyton Costabile is currently tied for 18th place after posting a score of 74 (+3). Costabile tallied three birdies in the first round.
Luciana Calbimonte is currently tied for 47th place with a score of 78 (+7). The sophomore tallied two birdies.
Grace Oristian is tied for 54th place, carding a 79 (+8) in the first round.
Kalyn Doss is tied for 54th place after posting a score of 79 (+8), marking her lowest collegiate round. The freshman also tallied three birdies.
