TOWSON, Md. – In an exciting and meaningful twist to the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship rematch, the upcoming Towson University men's lacrosse game vs. Delaware will be recognized as the Strokes of Luck game, supporting education and awareness for pediatric strokes.
The event will take place on March 15 at Johnny Unitas® Stadium, bringing together fans, players and the entire lacrosse community in support of a cause that affects children and families across the country.
This special game is being hosted with the Strokes of Luck Corp, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about pediatric strokes and providing vital resources for families.
One of Towson's managers is
Noah Goldstein, a Baltimore native and three-time stroke survivor. Noah's first stroke was at the age of 14. He then had to relearn how to walk, talk and eat again. The mission is to educate the public about the signs and symptoms of strokes in children, a topic often overlooked despite its devastating impact on young lives.
"This game is more than just a rivalry between two amazing lacrosse teams, it's an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families affected by pediatric strokes," said Goldstein. "I am proud and honored that Strokes of Luck will be able to share our mission and vision to bring attention to this important cause."
"We are very excited to support our student manager, Noah Goldstein and his Strokes of Luck organization," said Towson head coach
Shawn Nadelen. "Noah is a walking miracle and an inspiration to our program. What he is doing with Strokes of Luck, providing support and resources to stroke survivors, is something we emphatically want to get behind. We hope the exposure of Strokes of Luck during our game brings more awareness and understanding for anyone that can benefit from the organization to reach out and be supported."
The Strokes of Luck Corp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives of children and families impacted by pediatric strokes. Through education, support, and advocacy, the foundation aims to raise awareness about the often-overlooked issue of pediatric strokes and provide resources for better prevention, treatment, and recovery.
