Luciana Calbimonte were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in athletics and the classroom, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Sky Aung was one of two Towson men's golfers to play in all nine tournaments this season. The sophomore finished the year with the lowest average round score on the team for the second consecutive season. Aung shot a season best 67 (-5) in the second round of the Testudo Cup and went on to finish the tournament tied for 10th with a season low tournament score of even par.
Luciana Calbimonte was one of three Tigers to start in all eight tournaments this season on the women's team. The sophomore shot a season-low 73 at the Edisto Island Invitational this past season and finished the year with the third lowest round score on the team.
Academic eligibility requires nominees to have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. Athletically, the student-athlete must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
