TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team has announced its non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season. The slate features a matchup against Maryland for the fourth consecutive season, along with a renewed rivalry vs. Delaware following their departure from the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).
The Tigers are coming off their sixth consecutive trip to the quarterfinal round of the CAA Championship, where they fell to the No. 3 Campbell Camels last March at CareFirst Arena. The Black & Gold return their leading scorer from a season ago in guard
India Johnston. Highlighting the group of newcomers are Mizzou transfer guard
Tilda Sjökvist and VCU transfer guard
Zoli Khalil.
Laura Harper's squad will open the season in Blacksburg, Virginia to face Virginia Tech on Nov. 4. The Tigers host Frostburg State and Stetson at SECU Arena following that trip on November 7 and 11, respectively.
Towson faces Maryland, the alma mater of Head Coach
Laura Harper, at the Xfinity Center on November 13. The Tigers host Coppin State, where
Harper made her first Division I head coaching stop, on Nov. 16.
The Black & Gold will wrap up the month of November on the road vs. UMBC (Nov. 23), Georgetown (Nov. 26) and Delaware (Nov. 30).
In December, Towson hosts Loyola (Dec. 4), Lehigh (Dec. 20) and Morgan State (Dec. 30) at SECU Arena. The team's final non-conference road matchup of the season comes against UMES on Dec. 17.
"What an exciting time to be a part of Towson women's basketball," added
Coach Harper. "As we embark on a new season with ten newcomers, our challenging non-conference slate will more than prepare us for conference play."
