TOWSON, Md. – Towson University Head Baseball Coach
Matt Tyner has released the 2026 schedule, announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers are slated to play 55 games this season, including 24 games at John B. Schuerholz Park. All home games at John B. Schuerholz Park are open to the public at no charge.
Before Daylight Saving Time begins on March 8, weekday home games will start at 2 p.m. After March 8, all weekday home games will begin at 3 p.m. All Saturday and Sunday games are slated for 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, unless otherwise noted. Road game times listed as TBA will be announced as they become available.
Towson begins its season on Friday, Feb. 13, in the first of three games against Norfolk State. The Tigers and Spartans will complete their series at Marty L. Miller Field on Saturday and Sunday.
The first mid-week contest comes on the road against George Mason on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The Patriots will make a return visit to John B. Schuerholz Park on April 8.
On Feb. 24, the Tigers visit Plymouth Meeting, Pa. to face Villanova on the road for the first time since April 24, 1982. Towson will host Canisius in its first home series of the season from Feb. 27 – March 1.
With the Coastal Athletic Association's (CAA) adoption of North and South divisional formatting for the 2026 season, Towson will play 10 conference series (30 games). In the North, teams will play all four divisional opponents twice (home and away) as well as two series (one home, one away) against teams from the South Division.
Conference play begins with a three-game home series vs. Monmouth from March 6-8. The Tigers visit West Long Branch, N.J. to face the Hawks again from April 10-12.
Towson will face George Washington at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Va. on March 11. The Revolutionaries are slated to come to Towson on April 28.
The Tigers' first CAA road test brings them to Brookline, Mass. to face the defending-champion Northeastern Huskies. Northeastern is slated to visit Towson for the final league series of the regular season on May 14-16.
The Black & Gold welcome Maryland Eastern Shore to town on March 18. The Tigers will go to Princess Anne to face the Hawks the following week on March 25.
Campbell comes to Schuerholz Park for the first-ever CAA series against Towson from March 20-22.
The Tigers follow that with their first trip of the season to Long Island to face Stony Brook from March 27-29. The Seawolves visit Towson for a three-game series from April 24-26.
The team concludes the month at home against Coppin State on March 31. The Tigers are slated to face the Eagles at Joe Cannon Stadium on April 7.
The Hofstra Pride comes to Towson for the first series of the month from April 2-4. The Tigers will travel to Hempstead for a three-game series starting on May 1.
Towson will face Maryland in College Park on April 14. The Terrapins will visit Schuerholz Park on May 5.
Following the game in College Park, Towson will face Mercer from April 17-19 in Macon, Ga. during the team's lone CAA bye week.
The Black & Gold continues in April with a game against Maryland Baltimore County on April 21. The Retrievers will make a return trip to Schuerholz Park for the final mid-week contest of the season on May 12.
The Tigers' final CAA road series comes against William & Mary from May 8-10 in Williamsburg, Va.
The 2026 CAA Championship, hosted by UNCW, runs from May 20-23.
The top two teams from each division, based on conference winning percentage in all games, will qualify for the six-team CAA Championship. The other two tournament participants will be the teams with the highest NCAA RPI rating at the end of the regular season, but did not finish first or second in their division.
