TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's lacrosse team stands at No. 16 in the 2026 Inside Lacrosse (IL) KANE Preseason Media Poll, announced by the publication on Tuesday.
 
The IL poll is voted on by 20 members of the media across the country.
 
Towson is coming off its second undefeated Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) season, finishing 11-6 overall and its second straight CAA Tournament title to earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament.  Towson finished at No. 15 in the country last season, its second straight year finishing in the top-15.
 
The Tigers begin the season on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 12 p.m. vs. North Carolina.  North Carolina stands at No. 6 in the IL preseason poll.
