TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swim & dive athletes
Shannon Parrau and
Sam Tennell have earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honors after their performances in dual meets against Howard and George Washington last week. Parrau is the CAA Women's Diver of the Week while Tennell is the CAA Men's Diver of the Week.
Shannon Parrau receives her conference leading fifth diver of the week award and the tenth of her career. The senior scored 268.80 to top the leaderboard and win the 1 meter dive at Howard and help lead the Tigers to a dual meet victory. Against George Washington, Parrau won the 3 meter dive with a score of 298.35 and placed third in the 1 meter dive.
Sam Tennell gets his third diver of the week award of the season which leads all men's divers in the CAA. The senior finished second in the 1 meter dive during the Tiger's win over Howard with a score of 293.10. Taking on George Washington, Tennell won the 1 meter dive scoring 314.48 and placed second in the 3 meter dive after posting a score of 322.95.
Towson is back in action on January 24
th when the Tigers visit CAA rival Drexel for a dual meet scheduled for a noon start.
