TOWSON, Md. – Former Towson University standout
Chop Gallagher is set to begin his professional career, signing with the Carolina Chaos into the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) today.
The signing was announced by the Chaos on X/Twitter today. Gallagher signed a one-year deal with the team.
Former team captain and starting midfielder Gallagher was a 2025 USILA and USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention and First Team All-CAA player. In 59 career games, including 41 starts, the Portland, Oregon native finished with 60 goals, 50 assists and 45 ground balls, helping Towson win league titles in 2024 and 2025.
In 2025, the Carolina Chaos earned a trip to the PLL playoffs after finishing 5-5, falling the PLL quarterfinal round. The team kicks off the season on Saturday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. against the New York Atlas in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 2025, four Towson alumni competed in the PLL: Colby Barsz with the Utah Archers, Ryan Drenner with the Boston Cannons, Zach Goodrich with the Boston Cannons and Koby Smith with the New York Atlas. Drenner and Goodrich are set to return to the Cannons in 2026.
