SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – The Towson University men's golf team opened its spring slate with the first round of the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate on Monday, hosted by George Mason. The Tigers sit tied for 14th place after posting 294 (+6) in the opening round.
Richmond sits in first place with 278 (-10). Georgetown and James Madison stand tied for second with scores of 282 (-6).
The lone Tiger under par on the day,
Michael Matheson, sits T-12 after posting a 70 (-2).
Matheson finished with five birdies, including four-straight from holes 4-7.
Ariihau Faana posted a 73 (+1) with three birdies in the round.
Sky Aung turned in a 75 (+3), with four birdies and one double bogey on his scorecard.
Jai Sheth finished right behind Aung with a 76 (+4) in the opening round.
Adam Green rounded out the group with a 78 (+6).
