TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University women's lacrosse team is set to host Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) foe Drexel for Senior Day on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Tiger Field. Towson is coming off a 7-19 loss against No. 12 Stony Brook last week. The Tigers will be coming into Kristen Carr's third season as the head coach for the Black & Gold.
Instant Impact
JMU transfer Hannah Lewis has made a significant impact at attack for the Tigers this season. The redshirt junior leads the team in points (32) and goals (28). Lewis ranks fifth in the CAA in goals per game (2.33).
Jenna Cardeno also continues to make an impact in her sophomore year between the pipes. Cardeno ranks second in the CAA in saves per game at 8.50 (102 total this season) and ranks 26th in the NCAA in the same category. Earlier this season, the sophomore eclipsed 250 career saves. In her first year, Cardeno was the only goalkeeper named to the CAA All-Rookie Team.
Preseason Accolades
The Tigers were voted to finish in third place in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 33 points. The Black & Gold were picked behind CAA defending champion Stony Brook and Drexel. Senior midfielder Valerie Thompson and junior Katie Roszko were named to the All-CAA team, while senior Ocea Leavy and sophomore Jenna Cardeno earned honorable mention recognition.

The Dragons enter Saturday's matchup with a 4-8 overall record and a 1-3 record in CAA play. Drexel picked up wins this season over UConn, Wagner, Saint Joseph's and Elon. Drexel is coming off a 13-14 loss against Hofstra earlier this week. Last week, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Lucy Dailey earned CAA Co-Rookie of the Week honors after recording nine saves to lead the Dragons to a 10-9 win over Elon. Dailey only allowed one goal in the final ten minutes of the game to preserve Drexel's 4-1 run. This game marked the third consecutive game where Dailey has recorded nine or more saves.
