TOWSON, Md. - Redshirt junior Hannah Lewis was named Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Offensive Player of the Week after a standout performance for the Tigers, as announced by the league on Monday.
Lewis totaled 10 points on the week for the Black & Gold, highlighted by a career-high six goals in Towson's 12-11 overtime win against CAA foe Monmouth on Saturday. The Bayville, New Jersey native scored four times in the first half before netting the game-winner with 2:45 remaining in overtime. Lewis closed the regular season as Towson's leader in goals (41) and points (51) and recorded at least one goal in every game this year.
The No. 3-seeded Tigers will open CAA Championship play on Thursday against No. 2 seed Hofstra at Lavalle Stadium in Stony Brook, New York. Opening draw is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and will be streamed on FloCollege.
