PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Junior Alana Nedd is surrounded by Bruins after the first day's competition in the heptathlon at the 114th Penn Relays at Franklin Field.
Nedd is second in the standings with 2,876 points, behind front runner Kneisha Creary (3,205 points) and just ahead of third place Georgea Richards (2,860 points). Both Creary and Richards are UCLA Bruins.
Nedd has turned in a number of solid fourth place finishes in
accumulating her total after the first four events. She was fourth in
the 100 meter hurdles (14.99), high jump (5'-3") and shot put
(34'-1.25"). She was fifth in the 200 meter dash in 26.64. Her 100
meter hurdle time was a personal best.
Competition concludes today with the long jump, javelin throw and 800 meter run.
