| Towson_WGOLF Adds Bonnie Fry To Coaching Staff

TOWSON, Md. – With a wealth of playing and coaching experience under her belt, Bonnie Fry (Towson '76) joins the Tiger women's golf staff as a volunteer assistant coach, it has been announced by head coach Kate Stepanek.

“We are thrilled to have Bonnie as part of our coaching staff,” said Stepanek. “With her outstanding playing career and her coaching experience, she will be a strong addition to our program. We are fortunate to have someone of her caliber working with us.”

Fry, who has served as a physical education teacher for 36 years in Harford County, has enjoyed a very successful links career both locally and regionally.

Her accomplishments include qualifying for the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1985 and 1986, winning the Maryland State Senior Amateur in 2005 and capturing over 30 women's golf tournaments in the Maryland area over four decades.

Fry recently qualified for the USGA Senior Women's Amateur, which will be played Sept. 8-13 in Hersey, Pa.

Fry earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Towson in 1976 before returning to her alma mater to obtain her Master's in Education in 1986. Her son, Matt, is a current member of the Tiger men's golf team.
