Kicking Off
It's all on the line for the Tigers this weekend as Towson hits the road twice. The Tigers open the week at defending CAA Champion Northeastern on Thursday from Beantown before heading to historic Williamsburg, Virginia to round out the regular season at William & Mary. Towson will need as many points as it can get to secure a spot in the upcoming CAA Tournament.

Scouting the Tigers
Towson split its results last week, falling 2-1 in double overtime on the road at troublesome James Madison before edging out UNCW 1-0 on Senior Day. Maddie Bové is playing like a senior possesed and is on a three-game point streak to lead Towson's scoring (5g, 3a, 13p). McKenzie McCaull (2g, 4a, 8) is second while Sarah Quick (2g) and Afton Kalkose (1g, 2a) are tied for third with four points. Redshirt senior Taylor Sebolao is closing in on the century mark and currently has 96 saves. She made 12 last weekend, including seven in double overtime at James Madison.

The Series: Northeastern (10-5-2, 4-1-2 CAA)
Thursday's match will be the 18th meeting all-time between Towson and Northeastern. The series is as tight as can be, 8-8-1. However, the Huskies have won the last five meetings. The Tigers went unbeaten through the first six meetings in the series from 1997-2005 (5-0-1). The meetings in Towson have been close, with each of the last two games decided by a goal.

The Series: William & Mary (6-9-2, 2-4-2 CAA)
Sunday's regular season finale will be the 15th meeting between Towson and the Tribe. William & Mary leads the all-time series 11-2-2, but the Tigers have nabbed wins in two of the last three clashes. Last season, Towson picked up its first-ever win in Williamsburg with a 2-1 decision. In the 2014 meeting, the Tigers topped the Tribe 2-0 to seal a berth in the CAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Towson will be looking for back-to-back wins over the Tribe in series history.

Last Time Out vs. Northeastern
The Huskies scored once in each half to hold off a Tiger charge and pick up a 2-0 win in the penultimate game of the 2016 season. Northeastern controlled the pace, out-shooting the Tigers 20-3, but only nine of those shots were on goal. Taylor Sebolao made seven saves in her second-to-last road game last year.

With a Win Thursday
- Towson would snag another three points in the CAA standings and move to 3-5-0 in the league.
- Snap a five-game slide against the Huskies, dating back to Oct. 9, 2011 with a 3-1 win at home.
- The Tigers would get their first win over Northeastern in Boston since Oct. 10, 2010.
- Towson would get its third win in a Commonwealth this season (wins at Lehigh and Longwood).

Last Time Out vs. William & Mary
Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Tigers got two second-half goals from two young guns as Justine Stoner (48') and McKenzie McCaull (57') scored to give Towson its first-ever win in Williamsburg. William & Mary took 16 shots, putting nine on goal, but Taylor Sebolao made eight saves to earn the come-from-behind victory. She made all but one of those saves in the second half.

With a Win Sunday
- Towson would beat the Tribe on their home field for a second straight season.
- Towson would get back-to-back wins over William & Mary for the first time in program history.
- The Tigers would improve to 2-1-0 in Virginia this season, beating Longwood, but falling to JMU.
- Towson would win its regular season finale for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Long Distance Runaround
It's been the year of long-distance scoring for Towson. Not in terms of distance on the field, but from home to Towson. Freshman Afton Kalkose tucked away the first goal of her Towson career at James Madison last week, making her the Tiger with the most miles from her hometown to Towson University's campus to score a goal. La Quinta, California lies 2,550 miles from campus. She is joined this season by Floridians Evelyn Neidert and Sarah Quick. The latter still has the distinction of being the farthest from home to score a game-winning goal, however.

Brains and Brawn
The Tigers like to break a mental sweat too. For a sixth-straight year, Towson earned the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) Team Academic Award. To earn the honor, teams must carry a composite grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Tigers checked in after the Spring 2017 semester with a 3.38 GPA. Towson was one of six CAA programs to earn the Team Academic Award.

All-Time on October 19
The Tigers are 1-4-1 all-time on October 19. Towson will be looking for its first road win on this date tomorrow evening in Boston. The Tigers are 0-2-1 all-time on the road on October 19 and will be facing the Huskies for the first time in program history on this date. The Tigers have not played on October 19 since the 2014 campaign, a 2-2 double overtime draw on the road at Drexel.

All-Time on October 22
October 22 is a rare day for the Tigers to be playing. In the program's 468 previous games, only four have ever been contest on October 22. The TIgers are 1-3-0 all-time on this date. Towson will be hunting its first road win on October 22, holding an 0-3-0 road record. The lone victory was a 2-0 win over then-America East foe Maine at home.

Walking the Razor's Edge
On Sunday, the Tigers played their 15th game this season that was decided by one goal or resulted in a tie. That's not a new trend for Towson over the years. Since 2012, the Tigers have played double-digit one-goal or tie games in every season. Over that stretch, 75 games have resulted in a one-goal decision or a tie. The high-water mark was 15 during the 2013 and 2015 season. Towson has two regular season games remaining on the schedule.

Saves on Saves on Saves
So far in 2017, the Tigers and redshirt senior Taylor Sebolao have made 98 saves. Of those, 96 belong to Sebolao with two team saves in the fold. She ranks 12th nationally in total saves while leading the CAA in the same category. She is 84th nationally in save percentage (.821) and 42nd in saves per game (5.65).

Not Going Down Easy
No student-athlete wants their career to end. Maddie Bové is doing everything she can as of late to extend her time in the Black & Gold. The senior from West Chester, Pennsylvania is on a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist) and has points in four of the Tigers' last six games. She is on the longest point streak for Towson since last season when Emily Marshall had a three-game helper run in the middle of conference action.

Who's it Going to be...
So far this season, the Tigers have had a versatile scoring corps. Seven different players have a goal, with three of those notching multiple tallies. Five different Tigers have put away game-winning goals this season: Sarah Quick (Longwood), Evelyn Neidert (Loyola), Sam Lotti (Elon), Elizabeth Coletti (Lehigh) and Maddie Bové (UNCW).

Movin' On Up
Redshirt senior goalie Taylor Sebolao has turned aside 96 shots in 2017. Throughout her career, Sebolao has made 311 saves, which currently ranks her fourth all-time in program history. She trails former teammate and mentor Erin Quinn's 318 from 2011-14.

We Have That in Common(wealth)
The August 31 game in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania marked the second game the Tigers played in one of the country's four Commonwealths after playing in Farmville, Virginia the previous weekend at Longwood. The final Commonwealth will be an October 19 game at Northeastern in Boston, Massachusetts. The only Commonwealth the Tigers will not play in this season is Kentucky.

Opposite Sides of the Country
Two freshmen joined the Tigers in 2017 with Afton Kalkoske and Hannah Warner matriculating to Towson this fall. Despite sharing a class, the pair have an entire country between their hometowns. Warner hails from nearby Bel Air, Maryland, roughly 20 miles from campus. Kalkoske arrived in the Greater Baltimore area from La Quinta, California, some 2,600 miles from Towson University.
