BALTIMORE, Md. - Sunday concluded action at the Greyhound classic hosted by Loyola where the Towson University tennis team took three wins in doubles and four in singles, taking a 7-0 mark on the day.
How it Happened
- The pair of Sarah Pospischill and Amelia Lawson won the consolation bracket championship in doubles with a 6-3 victory over their Loyola opponents.
- Lawson went on to secure the championship win of the backdraw in singles over a Greyhound player in straight sets.
- Jessica Assenmacher and Schuyler Tose took a strong win over a Loyola pair in doubles as well.
- Assenmacher then defeated a Greyhound opponent in a three-set singles match.
- Also in the backdraw, Alexa Martinez and Themis Haliou defeated a pair from the host team 6-2 in doubles action.
- Martinez went on to take a 6-2, 6-2 victory over her Loyola opponent while Haliou won in straight sets as well.

"We had a strong finish and I'm extremely happy with how we played," said head coach
Jamie Peterson. "We now have almost three weeks to get ready for very challenging competition at the Stetson Invitational which is our final tournament of the fall."

The Tigers return to the court the first weekend of November in the Sunshine State to take part in the Stetson Invitational.
