TOWSON, Md. –Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) action continues as the Towson University women's soccer team travels to Harrisonburg to face James Madison on Thursday, Oct. 17, then hosts the Blue Hens of Delaware on Sunday, Oct. 20.
First the Tigers will travel to Sentara Park for an evening match under the lights against James Madison. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
On Sunday, Towson is back at the Tiger Soccer Complex for a 1 p.m. contest against Delaware. The Tigers are welcoming back all former soccer alumni to the game and will be honored during halftime.
All home matches will have live audio and video, free of charge, as well as live stats. Links for both contest can be found at towsontigers.com.
For all home meets, parking is free in Lot 19 with overflow in Lot 20.
Last Time Out
Christiana Davey scored as the Tigers fell 3-1 to Elon last Sunday, Oct. 13. Davey scored on a direct kick towards the end of the second half to put Towson on board. Elon scored all three goals in the second half.
The Series: JMU (JMU leads 17-0-0)
Towson is looking for it's first-ever win over the Dukes in the 18th meeting all-time between the programs. Last season Towson fell 2-0 in a hard fought battle at home. Prior to that the last two games between the Tigers and the Dukes resulted in overtime wins for James Madison. Towson is looking for its first win in Harrisonburg.
The Series: Delaware (Delaware leads 14-10-2)
Towson will host Delaware for the 27th meeting. Last season, Towson defeated Delaware 2-1 in double overtime.

Scouting the Tigers (3-10-1, 0-5-0 CAA)
Towson fell to Elon 3-1 last Sunday, Oct. 13.
Jenna Blank is leading the Tigers with 10 points, four goals, and 24 shots including 12 on goal.
Nikki Logan has 29 shots with nine shots on goal. Three different Tigers are tied with two goals and two assists. In goal for the Tigers are
Lindsey Pazdziorko and
Delaney Mitchell. Pazdziorko has 39 saves and a 2-4-1 overall record while Mitchell has 43 saves and 1-4-0 overall record.
Scouting the Dukes (5-9-1, 2-2-1 CAA)
The Dukes defeated College of Charleston 4-0 on Sunday, Oct. 13. Four different people scored to help claim the victory. Haley Crawford leads the team in points with 15, has four goals, seven assists, 22 shots including 14 on goal. Ebony Wiseman has six goals, two assists, 28 shots including 16 on goal. In goal for the Dukes is Hannah McShea who has 50 saves and a 5-8-1 overall record.
Scouting the Blue Hens (8-3-2, 2-1-1 CAA)
Delaware fell to Hofstra 3-2 on Sunday, Oct. 13. Sara D'Appolonia had a goal and senior Jill Vassallo had her first goal of the season in the contest. D'Appolonia leads the teams with four goals, two assists, 10 points, 38 shots including 18 on goal. Anna Diffendal has three goals, six points, 10 shots including six on goal. Goalkeeper for the Blue Hens is Kamryn Stablein she has 48 saves and a 9-4-0 overall record.
In the Community
- The Towson University athletics department deems community service as one of its highest priorities to give back to the Greater Baltimore area.
- For the 7th consecutive year, the department exceeded 10,000 hours of community service to the Greater Baltimore region, finishing with 11,162 hours of community service in the 2018-19 academic season.
- Towson ranked #1 nationally for community service and won the 2018 National Championship for Community Service through the Helper Helper NCAA Team Works Competition.
- Towson had a 97% participation rate, attended 118 community service opportunities and volunteered with 19 organizations.
- Towson won the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award from Susan G. Komen of Maryland.
