TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's swimming and diving teams are traveling down to Annapolis, Maryland to compete against three teams.
Navy host Towson, George Washington and John Hopkins inside Lejeune Hall.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Swimming Spotlight
Before each meet, the swimming and diving program will introduce us to someone in the senior class who will share highlights and their expectations of the season. This meet we introduce you to senior
Hunter Wright. The computer science major is from Apex, North Carolina and will be competing in the freestyle and individual medleys this season.
As his senior year got off to a good start last week, Wright is looking forward to helping his teammates have fast times while looking forward to improving his.
Of all four years this is the most excited Wright has been going into the meets.
"The freshmen we brought in bring a lot of energy and I'm just trying to help by directing that energy towards the right things," said Wright.
As all meets leads to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships, Wright is determined to make sure the team goal remains the same, and that is having the best times.
"As a team our goal is to have everyone perform at their best and get into as many finals as possible," Wright said.
"We want to make in impact this year and it starts with the hard work we're putting in this fall."
Going into all the meets, one thing is for sure is the Tigers will always show enthusiasm and energy. Wright definitely ensures the team is hype, make sure to look out for his gymnast "stick it" landing before he swims.
