WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Towson University women's golf team defeated William & Mary in a weekend match 10.5 points to 5.5 points.
The Tigers were tied 4-4 after team matches and claimed the win with a 6-1-1 edge in the singles matches. Towson entered the day trailing 3-1 following Friday's round. Towson won the morning matches 3-1 to even things and set the stage for the victory.
The match concept was 27 holes Friday and Saturday in nine-hole match segments.
Towson departs Monday to compete in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic. The event will take place in Waikoloa, Hawai'i from Thursday, March 21 through Saturday, March 23.
