STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Sophomore Jordan Cornelius was the leader for the Towson University women's golf team during the opening day of the Nittany Lion Invitational. She is among the top 20 individuals following two rounds.

How It Happened

• Cornelius' two-round score of 149 (+5) is tied for 17th overall.
• The Tigers are ninth overall after shooting 308 in the second round, which was two strokes better than their opening round effort.
• Cornelius had three pars during her one-over-73 second round performance.
• In the second round, she shot an even par on the back nine highlighted by a birdie on the 16th hole.
• Cornelius also birdied the fifth and ninth holes.
• She led the Tigers with a four-over 76 in a first round effort that included two birdies.
• Sarah Perine, Jayla Kang and Erica Han each carded a six-over-78 in the first round.
• Kang was four-over 76 in the second round and her two round score of 154 (+10) is tied for 34th overall.
• Kang's birdie on the 11th hole was the centerpiece of her even-par back nine performance.
• Kang had a birdie on the sixth hole.
• Kang, who led Towson with 24 pars, was one-over on the front nine during the first round.
• Competing as an individual in her first collegiate event, freshman Emma Cox birdied the fourth and 14th holes during the second round.
• Perine is tied for 44th overall after her two round score of 156 (+12).
• Perine was six-over in each round.
• Julia Calomiris birdied the eighth hole in each round.
• During the first round, Han fueled by a birdie on the 12th hole, was one-under during the back nine.
• Towson has 114 pars through two rounds, which is third overall.
• Perine, Calomiris, Cornelius had 23 pars each for the Tigers, which have a two-round total of 618 (+42).
