TOWSON, Md. — The Towson University women's tennis team had another great day of action at the Fall Tiger Classic.
The Tigers' two teams racked up six singles victories to bring their weekend total to 14 wins.
Matches schedules for Saturday afternoon were not finished due to weather.
Towson 1
The first Towson team swept Saint Joseph's in singles while dropping the doubles match.
Singles
Themis Haliou defeated Amanda Nava in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3.
Jessica Assenmacher also got the win over Stow Weiss, 6-4, 7-5.
Olivia Rothfeld secured a dominant victory over Sophia Amato, 6-1, 6-1.
On the final court, Lea Kosanovic defeated Paige Conrad 6-2, 6-0
Doubles
The duo of Schuyler Tose and Antonia Lawson dropped their doubles match to Fabiana Tort-Umpierre and Ana Ocasio, 6-1.
Towson 2
The second Tigers team got two singles wins over Delaware State on the second and fourth courts.
Singles
Amelia Lawson fell to Kit Ye Kaye Au-Yeung in the super tiebreak, 6-3, 6-7, 11-9.
Picking up her second win of the tournament, Sarah Pospischill got the win over Baluck Deaug in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.
Sissi Axelsson defeated Eva Golembiovski, 2-6, 6-4, 10-2.
Nadeen Shrebati took the match to a super tie break but fell to Lucia Corte, 6-3, 4-6, 10-6.
Doubles
The pair of Tose and Kosanovic fell in doubles action to Daria Jula and Iris Leder, 6-4, 6-2.
